Description

The profile cylinder burr PZF for locksmiths from PFERD TOOLS is a cylindrical burr with drill tip and cut cutting surfaces, which was developed specially for time-saving milling of locked profile cylinders with pull protection. The integrated drill tip enables accurate centring, meaning that the profile cylinder can be milled precisely. Thanks to the cut on the external surface and the twisted grooves, optimum chip removal is ensured. Tool jamming is therefore minimized and the risk of breakage is reduced. Furthermore, the innovative milling tool from PFERD TOOLS impresses with its good tool life, despite the challenging application.

Using conventional burrs takes several minutes to open a profile cylinder of a security lock. Thanks to its extremely high stock removal rate, PFERD TOOLS’ innovative solution usually enables you to complete this task in under one minute – depending on the lock.

Burr for milling profile cylinders and strike plates (e.g. facings or security covers) made from soft materials (e.g. aluminium).

Recommendations for use

Use the burrs on powerful straight grinders that are, insofar as possible, speed-adjustable.
The optimum rotational speed and power output for the tool drive are required for cost-effective use of the burr. Recommended rotational speed range: 14,000–28,000 RPM.
Use the strike plate burr SBF from PFERD TOOLS in order to remove facings or security covers in front of the profile cylinder.
