Description

PFERD offers a wide selection of coated abrasive tools for working on different workpiece geometries and materials. They consist of a base, a base bond and a coating bond for the abrasive grain to adhere to. Depending on the grit size, coated abrasive tools can achieve a high stock removal rate or a very fine surface finish.

The available backing materials differ in properties such as tear strength, flexibility and wear. With the right base, the grinding tool is adapted to the requirements of the intended application: paper is used in the woodworking industry and in trade, e.g. among carpenters, painters and decorators, cloth is predominantly used for metalwork, and vulcanized fibre is highly wear-resistant and is used in various thicknesses predominantly for making fibre discs.

The set contains ten blue cloth-backed abrasive sheets with aluminium oxide A abrasive in various grit sizes.

The blue cloth-backed variant is the low-cost alternative for normal workloads when working on painted wooden and metal surfaces. The cloth-backed abrasive sheets comply with ISO 21948.

Advantages
  • Good grain adhesion on sturdy cloth.
  • Good abrasive performance.
  • High tear strength with optimum quality.
  • For getting to know and testing the comprehensive range.
  • Coordinated selection of the most common grit sizes from coarse to medium-fine.
Recommendations for use
  • Tear to the necessary size if required.
