Description

The TOUGH-S cut has been developed especially for tough applications in dockyards, foundries and steel construction. It is also ideal for use in all manufacturing sectors where, due to the difficult production environment, tooth breakages or other damage to conventional burrs is a frequent occurrence. Tungsten carbide burrs with the TOUGH-S cut are characterized by smooth milling and high stock removal.

Pointed tree-shaped burr according to DIN 8032, flattened tip.

Advantages
  • The highly accurate concentricity enables impactfree working without creating chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the tool and tool drive.
Recommendations for use
  • Observe the recommended rotational speeds.
  • The TOUGH-S cut can be used on materials up to 54 HRC. For harder materials, it is recommended to perform trials beforehand.
  • Tungsten carbide burrs the TOUGH-S cut are also suitable for applications involving impact when using shank extensions, for applications with a high surface contact angle, for milling narrow contours, or for applications where high rotational speeds are not available.
  • If the smallest area of the burr diameter is being used, the recommended rotational speed can be increased accordingly.
  • To ensure costeffective use of burrs, use a higher rotational speed and cutting speed. Use burrs with a shank diameter of 6 mm with drives with a power output from 300 watts.
